QRLocator

QRlocator is the first application software that achieves indoor passively positioning based on Quick Response (QR)code.It complements the GPS’s lack of high quality signal in indoor, construction-intensive areas, and mountainous areas.Its outstanding accuracy also makes up the inaccuracy of WIFI positioning. Furthermore, this application innovatively develops the spatial characteristic of QR code. Implanted third party API, QRlocator2.0 shows more delicate User Interface (UI),more effective structure, and more sophisticated map to users. Except remarkable creation of QR code positioning,the application also provides general functions of QR code,GPS navigation, map and extra user friendly tools.Although, at present, our indoor data base only has the data of the Mapping and Geographic Information Science Building in Tongji University, it will be expanded and improved by adding Cloud technology in the future. For user operation, indoor and outdoor maps both implement gesture manipulating, zoom, pan,and angle changing of 3D maps. More exciting details are waiting for you to discover！
Moreover, for outdoor QR code positioning, users can design their own textual QR code according to their position by using any QR code generating software or website. As general instruction, first choosing textual type QR code, next entering coordinate information in the form of parenthesis with common separation(,), and then generating QR code.Thus, users can scan their QR codes to do locating.
Recently,we will enlarge our indoor plan data. So we are looking forward to more cooperation with professionals in the relevant fields to improve our application. As long as focusing on low cost passively positioning, we are also working on UWB-based indoor actively positioning.
