Special relativity described by Albert Einstein in 1905 supossed that time and space were not fixed entities.At near-light speed the time measured by one observer in movement and another observer static, will be different.The same happens with the space. Something travelling at near-light speed will be seen smaller than seen by one static observer.Time dilation has been checked using atomic clock , and fast airplanes.
