PC: Learn Chinese Vocabulary

Progressive Chinese is an app that teaches you Chinese vocabulary. On average for every Chinese character you learn you must learn another 12+ words to keep up with the new vocabulary which learning a new character introduces. If this is not managed the learner will quickly get overwhelmed with the amount of vocabulary that builds up with which they have not yet learned. This results in the learner having a great knowledge of characters which they can recognize in Chinese texts, but it does not mean they can understand the meaning of the word that the characters form when they are put together. To learn Chinese it is essential to also learn the relationships characters have with each other in forming different words.When learning Chinese, or any language, it is recommended that the learner has multiple streams of learning at the same time especially when aiming at the goal of being fluent in that language. To learn Chinese the learner must blanket their mind with different words and characters, not letting their learning become too narrow and specific to the direction of text books. Using the Progressive Chinese app is a easy way to introduce an additional stream of learning or to compliment the already existing streams that you are using.Progressive Chinese works to manage the learning of characters and to slowly introduce new vocabulary to the user from the pool of characters that they already know.
