Tales of Mobile Entertainment

Tales of Mobile Entertainment (ToME) is a story engine that is part game, part creativity exercise. You bring the setting and Protagonist to the story: the application adds qualities and elements as plot “hooks”. Using a set of Controls, you ask question about what happens next, moving the story forward. ToME provides answers, introduces unexpected Complications, and keeps a Log of the events as they're written. Sessions are saved internally; you can export any particularly interesting session as a plain text file.ToME was inspired by authors who over the years have combined writing and gaming. Philip K. Dick threw the I Ching to write “The Man in the High Castle”. The long-running Wild Cards series edited by George R.R. Martin, and R.A. Salvatore's series, are among the many books influenced by role-playing games.
