This App4Buck app allows you to very quickly locate shops, camp sites, bars, beaches and other Points of Interest from www.poi.nu (using the POI66 database).After finding a list of POIs in your neighbourhood you can select one and directly plan a route to it using the Android built-in navigation.The POI.nu database contains more than 1,000,000 free Points Of Interest, such as camp sites, restaurants, hotels and other obvious categories, but many volunteers added categories like water towers, harbours, supermarkets, fuel stations, landmarks, bunkers, fountains, stadiums, bird spotting, airplane spotting, UFO sites, nuclear test sites, meteor craters, geysers, and very many local POIs such as Yellowstone and other sets.www.poi.nu allows downloading the data to be used in TomTom satnavs, Garmin (CSV Nuvi format), Google Earth KML and KMZ, GPS GPX format, and many other download formats. This app is just a quick hit and run once you're on the spot.
