Dying Star Alpha

Dying star is a top down space collection game that features accelerometer controls. The player must tilt their device to guide their ship through space to collect beacons before time runs out while avoiding asteroids. An indicator on screen points the player in the direction of the beacon and tells the player how far away it is. Collecting beacons increases the amount of time the player has left. If the timer runs out, or the player collides with an asteroid, they have a few seconds to collect a beacon before its game over!Dying Star was developed during the 2013 Global Game Jam by Nate Cain, John McCabe, and Jack McDonald. Asteroid and ship models were created by Andrea Lowery.
