So you don't need to worry about blowing your download quota. Wifi is recommended for better performance though. The company market data is automatically updated if there is new data, this feature only downloads new daily market data. This is done when you use graph or experiment, and it is only done in online mode and at most once per day. Financial research can be a daunting task and using real money only makes it more so.
