Simple Wallet

Simple Wallet is a simple bitcoin view only wallet allowing you to generate a bitcoin address and private key combination based on a remembered pattern which you can draw on the screen.When you first open Simple Wallet, it requests that you enter a Master pattern. This pattern is stored in the application storage space (only available to this application and no other application unless you have decided to root your device) and is mixed together with another pattern which you enter every time Simple Wallet loads.The Master pattern must join more than 4 dots, but the second pattern can be as little as 1 dot.If you would like to know about the security of this app,remembering of course that this is a free app and the developer takes no responsibility for any bitcoin that you store in these addresses, and furthermore recommends that your savings addresses have their private keys stored offline, and not connected to the internet at all.This table lists the possible combinations for the Master Pattern:Moves = 4, combinations = 1624Moves = 5, combinations = 7152Moves = 6, combinations = 26016Moves = 7, combinations = 72912Moves = 8, combinations = 140704Moves = 9, combinations = 140704Total possibilities: 1624 + 7152 + 26016 + 72912 + 140704 + 140704 = 389112(Source: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/12127833/patterns-possible-on-3x3-matrix-of-numbers)So this means if I was using only your Master Pattern for generating keys, that there could only be a maximum of 389112 keys. However I am using both your Master and Secondary patterns to generate the keys so there are now 389112 ^ 2 pattern combinations and therefore keys available. That makes 151408148544 possible keys for Simple Wallet.As I said above, I don't recommend Simple Wallet for storing all your coins in as it is very easy for a hacker to break all the combinations of these keys and steal your bitcoin. The use case for this app is very simple, you get caught at some point without having an address on you so you quickly generate a keypair using the patterns and then give that address for receiving payment. When you get home back to your real wallet, and once all the confirmations is in place that you have been paid, you simple transfer the bitcoin out of your temporary Simple wallet into your real (or offline savings) wallet. So with that in mind, day to day emergency transactions should be fine with Simple Wallet as long as you don't store your bitcoin for more than a couple of days.Anyone is welcome to commission a more secure version of Simple Wallet in which I will add some more randomness to the address generation.
