eThekwini Municipality is trialing a mobile application for citizen engagement. In this version you can receive personalized news and alerts, these will be profile & location based. Users have the option to view alert on a map. Users will be able to view multiple municipal accounts and balances, download their statement in PDF as well as email and print statement. The Smart Community app will also enable citizens to report incorrect billing to the municipality. Users are able to provide feedback and recommendations using the feedback page provided on the application. Other features includes Frequently Asked Questions about the city services. Users with the registered E-Services account will get more personalized information about the services. The application has emergency numbers from the municipality, such as ambulance number, fire department and metro police department etc. Ethekwini Municipality invites you to use this Services between now and the 31 of March 2015. This trial is for limited users so please get yours ASAP for the new Revolutionized Citizen engagement.
