Project Fishrun is a project to help save the natural salmon stocks. Salmon that swim upstream to spawn are equipped with radio transmitters, and their movements are tracked for research information required by projects to improve conditions at the rivers.
The fish run is presented as a sporting event. Fish sponsored by companies are divided into GP events racing style, and you can track and guess which one will win. You earn points for achievements by your fish, and can compete against your friends on shared leaderboards.
Fishrun is a social and entertaining way to help spread the message of fish stocks near extinction and share the excitement in their race for survival, and to help gather the support from companies for the very essential research work.
