Ear Time

Ear Time is an interactive tool guitar players can use to train their ear. After pressing go, the player will hear a root note played and then a second note shortly after. The player must then select the correct string and fret before moving on to the next note. If you are not sure of the note, there is a button you can press to replay both notes, you can also select the skip button to move on to a different note. Your device will vibrate letting you know if you selected the wrong string and or fret.

Ear Time has setup options that allow you to select the root note played for each game. It also allows you to select from three choices of note duration (how long the note will ring for). You can choose to have note hints turned on to show the name of the note, it is then up to you to click the correct one. You can also choose if you want to be tested on sharps and flats.

Ear Time allows the creation of multiple users and will keep track of their progress through reports showing details of each game played. Ear Time is a great tool for students or teachers to test their student’s and it is also a great tool for the experienced musician to test their skills.
