This App contains photographs of all Li Luming’s artworks, including those that have been shown for many times on international exhibitions and those been collected by notable artistic organizations and collectors.

He built up an image system through a process of evolution, which is composed of four painting series Red Tree Family, Planting Plan, Planting Body and Red Dairy.

This App also contains reviews and interview articles from four world-famous critics and curators, in which Li has made a vivid depiction of his artistic experience as well as featured interpretation of his own artistic creation and concept.

This App presents photographs of Li in his sole exhibition, working in his studio as well as in life.


Lis Artworks Show
-Ma did not simply use the material from the Cultural Revolution; it was actually his youth days took place in the Cultural Revolution Period.
-He did not paint that period as the mass media informed us. He wanted to rewrite the history with ordinary people’s life, including himself.
-Contrary to the common work with the Cultural Revolution as its subject, Li Luming’s creation is devoted to the everyday life in the era of Cultural Revolution. His scenes, far from the specific and radical political ones, originate from the general condition of ordinary people and thus eliminate the fierce and crazy political passion characteristic of that time.
-His paintings feature a special black, white and grey tone, which comes from the characteristic of old photography and his own weakened color memories.
