Step-by-Story mobile apps help build reading readiness. They are carefully designed for pre-readers and early readers (kids from 2 - 6) to help them associate words, sounds and pictures in preparation for reading.

Every element of this app is designed to keep your child focused on the right things. The screens feature large buttons that require press-and-hold, so they cant be pressed by accident. Stories are deliberately short and easy to create, so that the youngest of children can experience the fulfillment that comes from being able to complete a meaningful task without help from an adult.

Every element of the app is built on classic principles of child development and a deep understanding of childrens play patterns.

In "The Goofy Gift", even the youngest of children will be able to create and share simple stories about Larry the Cucumber, Bob the Tomato and their other favorite VeggieTales characters and the goofy gifts they give to each other at Christmas.

When a child complete a story, their choices are turned in to a charmingly simple animated movie, set to VeggieTales music, that ends with an important moral read by Larry himself "Remember, its the thought that counts."
