Your key piece of equipment is a sturdy dumbbell set. A selectorized set like the PowerBlock is recommended. All you do is move the U-shaped pin to change the poundage. Standard adjustable dumbbells can work in a pinch, but your workouts will take longer.
Follow the workouts for 6 weeks before adding an extra set to the 4/1 cadence exercises.
