Amazing Spain from Torkil Storli

Spain is a country that is well known for its beaches, tapas and sun, and around 7 millions tourists visits this beautifull country every year.
While most of the tourists relax in the sun, i am running around taking pictures.
In this book you will not find many pictures of beaches and perfect sunsets, those are already been captured by far better photographers than me, but rather pictures of things and places we may not notice at the first glance.
Like that old house close to the hotel, or the factory on the way to the airport, they all have their own beauty.
And when the sun sets, the streets and buildings creates a different atmosphere wich i try to capture in my pictures.
Most of these photos are mutiple exposures of the same subject, and it is a tecnique called HDR, and stands for high dynamic range, it means that by making multiple exposures i can get all the details from light to dark in one final picture.
Later when i have the ´base layer pictureª right, i start adding textures to the image to create the look i want, almost like a painter with a digital brush.
Some of these pictures are also printed and shown at exhibitions.
