Personalize the appearance of dogwalk by adding the name and a picture of your dog, and add pins and notes for each walk to capture important moments!

Besides full localization in english, french and german, the app utilizes the Apple standard localization for all languages for weekday, month and street names. In the app settings you can toggle forth and back from metric to miles for the display of distances.

Backup / restore functionality Save your walks to iCloud as a backup for access with all your devices, or save to a file, and access it on your Mac / PC through iTunes file sharing. You can restore your data at any time to all your devices.

On devices without GPS (iPod, iPad with wifi only), dogwalk uses the improved IOS6 location services, which use wifi transmitters around to estimate the current location. This works very well in dense populated areas (where almost every house has a wifi transmitter), and unfortunately does not work for outdoor / nature walks. Also in populated areas the accuracy is not as good as GPS.

Please be aware that continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. dogwalk protects your battery life by automatically switching GPS off at the end of the walk (configurable in settings)
