PURPOSE The CFI Tools Preflight WX+ App is a tool I use to help me prepare for a flight.
It is a collection of eight popular CFI Tools Apps combined with a graphical weather presentation, a database of over 7,000 worldwide airports and a number of pre-selected web pages all rolled into one terrific package for the iPad.

The Crosswind, Holds and VOR Apps make some complex topics easier to understand. These are topics that are essential to any pilot especially any student pilot.

The Forecast App, Weight & Balance App, Takeoff & Landing Distance App & Area Wx App are tools that can help with flight planning and preparation.

Can I fly today?
-------------------
A Current Wx App, is the first App that is displayed on the screen and gives you a quick read on the conditions to answer the big question. Can I fly today?

Available METARs are displayed show graphical weather trends for the airport. It will "colorize" the values based on you personal minimums to highlight any notable readings. Red means no-go, yellow means caution and green means that the METAR values are within the minimums you setup on the Options Tab.

This display also shows the Aviation Flight Category (VFR, MVFR, IFR, LIFR) and a graphical windsock along with sky condition and present weathers. The raw METAR data is displayed at the bottom of the screen to make sure nothing is omitted.

A list of your "favorite airports" is displayed on this page which gives a quick read on the Aviation Flight Category and wind conditions. Touch any of these favorites to get the detailed report for that airport.

Pre-selected Web Pages

There are three Tabs available to pre-select a web page. Using the Options Tab you can set these Tabs to any web page you like. These web pages are loaded when the Tab is selected.

An internet connection is required to obtain the weather.
Like any iPhone App these tools should be used with caution. None of these Apps are replacements for any official information source.
