PlanARoute

PlanARoute is a great tool for creating driving, walking, cycling or point-to-point routes. More than directions from points A to B, PlanARoute gives you directions from points A to Z.

Car, Walk or Cycling routes of up to 26 locations can be created in seconds. Point-to-Point routes can have an unlimited number of locations.

Car, Walk and Cycling directions include both distance and time estimates.

Routes can be created or viewed with or without an internet connection.

Routes can be synced with all your other iOS devices and the devices of your friends and associates by emailing the route to them.

If you are a hiker, cyclist, tourist or a person with a list of customers to visit, use PlanARoute to plan a route that will take you to all the locations on your journey.  Add a location by simply touching the map, by selecting an address from your Contacts or Favorites library or by entering an address in the search area. 

If your are member of a hiking or touring group, use PlanARoute to create a route that can be emailed and imported into the devices of all the members of your group who also have PlanARoute. That way, all the members of your group will have the same map, route and itinerary and this will help keep your group together. Should a member of your group get separated from the group, they can use PlanARoute to find their way back to the group.

If you are a tourist, use PlanARoute along with your guidebook to plan your tour. Just create a route with the places you wish to visit, then while on your tour you will be able to track your progress and reduce your chances of getting lost.

While out on your journey and you discover an interesting location, use your device to take a photo and attach it to your route. Record your impressions of that location by writing in the notepad area.  After you return from your journey, use PlanARoute to recall your experiences and plan future journeys.

Included are two example tour routes (New York and Central Park) which demonstrate the features of PlanARoute. No need to learn complex software. View and play with these example tours to learn how to use this app and use them as a model on how to create your own routes.

Additional routes that can be downloaded and imported into your device for free are available at the PlanARoute support website.

▪ Individual Locations can be passed to and opened in Apple Maps or Google Maps (if installed).
▪ If desired, an elevation chart can be created for a route.
